The Writivism Residency for African Writers

 

The Centre for African Cultural Excellence (CACE) in collaboration with the Stellenbosch University English department has announced the Writivism residency

From September 1 to 30, 2016, Pemi Aguda,Pemi Aguda winner of the 2015 Writivism Short Story Prize will be the inaugural writer-in-residence under the partnership. During her time at the university, she will work on a fiction manuscript and have the opportunity to participate in reading groups, public lectures and other literary activities in the department. She will also do a public reading or seminar on her writing.

Past and future winners of the Writivism Short Story Prize will also benefit from the opportunity. Basic funding for the residency will be provided by the Miles Morland FoundationMMF-LogoSmall and the university will support the programme in kind.
