African Writers Trusts (AWT) 5th Editing and Publishing Training workshop was held on the 6th – 9th October 2017, at the Country Lake Resort, Garuga, Entebbe.
The workshop was facilitated by Margaret Busby OBE, Hon. FRSL (Nana AkuaAckon). Margaret is a writer, editor, critic and broadcaster who was born in Ghana and educated in Britain.
The workshop featured ten writing and editing professionals from Uganda that have either started or are interested in starting publishing houses.
Workshop topics focused on recommended guidelines for establishing a standard publishing house, and prodded real discussion and concrete solutions addressing the publication, marketing and distribution of African literature.
