The Africa Centre is glad to present the shortlist for the 2016 Artists in Residency competition. This time round, they added a layer to their Artists In Residency competition that specifically awarded residencies to mid to late-career African artists who lived on the continent and its diaspora. These fifteen exceptional artists were selected from over 120 applicants from various countries across the continent and beyond. They are:
