The Short Story Writing Competition, (#SSWC)is an online writing competition, an initiative of a Facebook group called ‘The Gathering
The competition only open to Ugandans, is accepting submissions for its third edition.
The stories will be Judged by Doreen Baingana , an award winning Ugandan short story writer and editor as the chief judge alongside a panel of judges.
Your submissions MUST be original, unpublished and NOT longer than 3,000 words.
You must be a member of The Gathering to submit a story – follow the link

You must identify yourself using your current Facebook ID.
Jade Incorporated, the firm that runs the logistical process of this competition, will only accept submissions from contestants whose identity can be traced back to their Facebook ID.
Prizes will include cash, with a top prize of Shs. 1,000,000 an interesting bunch of stuff from the sponsors of this writing competition and an invitation to a writing workshop run by Doreen Baingana.
